At the first meeting of the Committee of The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) held immediately after its 50th Annual General Meeting on September 15, 2009 at The Residency, Coimbatore,  Shri J Thulasidharan, Managing Director, The Rajaratna Mills P Limited, Neikarapatti, A. Kalayamputhur Post, Palani Taluk, Tamil Nadu, has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Association for the year 2009-2010.  Shri Thulasidharan was Chairman of SIMA Cotton Development & Research Association  and had made significant contributions for developing new cotton seeds, improving cotton production through SIMA as well as various State and Central Government projects.  He is also Director of Coimbatore Commodities Limited and Coimbatore Capital Limited. Shri Thulasidharan is a Committee Member in Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, New Delhi.  Shri Thulasidharan travelled extensively in Egypt, UK and entire USA and made detailed study in various areas like marketing, research, seed development, farming, processing and ginning of cotton.

Shri S.Dinakaran, Joint Managing Director of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited, Salem, has been unanimously elected as Deputy Chairman of the Association for the year 2009-2010. Shri Dinakaran, after his graduation, entered the textile business during the year 1978. Under his leadership, the Sambandam Group of Mills has developed to a corporate level.  Shri Dinakaran is a Committee Member in Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, New Delhi, a member in the Council of Administration, TEXPROCIL, Mumbai and also a member of the Yarn and Thread Committee in TEXPROCIL, Mumbai.        

Shri T.Rajkumar, Managing Director of Sri Mahasakthi Mills Limited, Coimbatore, has been unanimously elected as Vice-Chairman of the Association for the year 2009-2010. Shri Rajkumar is currently the Executive Director of Sakthi Group Textile Division.  Shri T.Rajkumar  is Vice-Chairman of The SIMA Cotton Development & Research Association, Coimbatore. He is a Committee Member in the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), New Delhi. He is actively involved on the various Committees and Boards of various educational institutions, temples and charities.  He has widely travelled.
